Arctic Shred was born out of the need for another option to Document Destruction service in Alaska. Since day 1, our mission has been to provide a local family-owned & customer-focused approach to secure document destruction in Alaska.

Ship & Shred

You box it. We coordinate Shipping. We Shred it. You get your Certificate of Document Destruction via email. A great option for those outside of our truck route service area!

Walk-In Location is a secure facility under constant lock and surveillance.
All Locked bins are Serviced and Shredded when full daily.
Please knock or ring the bell for service if the door is locked during hours of operation for security purposes.
Please park as close to the front of the building as possible for your convenience we have 3 front row spots. Feel free to wait for a closer spot.
For the witnessed retail shred option please call (907) 600-2727 to schedule a time slot on Friday. First come, First Serve for appointment times.
Retail Shred there is a minimum of $25.00 per sale.
Security Shred bags for sale at the front desk.
Limit to 20 Standard bankers boxes per person per day for retail Walk-In Shred. (To limit retail congestion)
To schedule the truck to come to you for larger volumes there is a $25.00 Trip Charge within Anchorage. (Call Dispatch to schedule Mobile On-Site Shredding)

The first thing to know is that Arctic Shred is only open from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. — I learned that the hard way showing up at 11 a.m. 😂 When I came back the next day a young man came out and helped me unload everything from my car. I honestly thought I’d be on my own dragging bags to a bin, but he made the whole process quick and easy. Super friendly service, and I even tipped him for going above and beyond. All of my shredding only cost about $30-ish, I can't remember the exact amount but i thought it was very affordable. Great service, fair price — highly recommend Arctic Shred!

My new favorite place. I took advantage of their walk in services. Bins are locked, but opened, and my office recycle paper was dropped in. The bin then locked. $25 a bag is worth it for me. The location is easy to find, and the staff is great. One of the most important aspects for me, is this: I called during their lunch hour. Left a message. And boom, got a return call after the lunch period, which their voice mail indicates. Return calls in a timely manner can sometimes be a deal breaker for me. This outfit has super customer service.
